It has been said, “without ~GOD~, man is not man; he’s an animal!” and at present, this statement is dramatically clear! Public behavior at every level of society is growing less and less civil. Morals, ethics, values, principles and spiritual maturity are becoming rarities, as animalistic passions arise…
Without ~GOD~, man is driven only by his senses, his appetites and a drive to achieve dominance in his world. He is devoid of conscience. His intellect succumbs to primitive urges; his logic is overwhelmed by his passions. He may build a kingdom, but it will fall, because it is built on territorial lust rather than inner strength. And though it appears powerful, any society built upon avarice, rather than what the American-Constitution calls, “…the blessings of liberty,” has thrown away the presence and power of ~GOD~…
And this is now being done in America. The past few decades have witnessed the fall of our society from Constitutional-Structure to animalistic appetites. Biblical history recounts a dark history of many similar social collapses. And they all fell because of the same general weakness…
As Peter writes in his Second Epistle, false teachers fail to understand ~GOD’s~ blessing, and as a result, march their respective societies straight to the garbage heap:
“The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness…”

Lately, populations around the world [and ours especially!] have had a growing opportunity to see the abject truth of this statement. It has exploded into view in a way that we could scarcely imagine a few short years ago…
Though it has never been perfect, America has had great moments of revival, and heroism in the fight against the forces of evil. But once again we witness a period of lawlessness, factional street demonstrations and satanic sociological theories punctuated by fires, murders and riots set upon a background of moral degeneration and bizarre socio-sexual and racially confabulated demands…
Bible–Believing–Christians look upon all this with wonder. How, they ask, could we have fallen so far, so quickly???
In truth, the answer to this question is that historically, Western-Civilization has experienced a cyclical series of spiritual, social and economic eras. Anyone who has read [Foxe’s Book of Martyrs—the dark side of Church history] has been shocked to witness the depths of animal brutality to which ~GODless~ societies will fall. Over the past two-millennia, Christians living as contemporaries of monsters from Nero to Mao Tse Tung, have witnessed more than their share of insult, riot and death. From the days of the Apostles to the present, the animalistic natural man has many times risen against ~GOD’s~ people…
Just as prophesied, we see it again. Peter wrote:
“While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage…”
