The State of Israel may seem normal. But it’s not. It is no more normal than the restoration of a withered hand or the parting of a vast sea. Israel is not normal. Israel is a miracle!!!
The nation’s existence feels normal to most people today partly because it has been there since May 14, 1948. They forget that for two millennia, Jews were once scattered across the whole globe with no place to call home. In all that time, they continued to revere the law of Moses. They kept on celebrating Passover. Their culture did not disappear into the dominate cultures of the places they landed. They adapted to a variety of civilizations, but at their core, they remained the same. This is unique in human history…
They did not achieve this because of their virtue or courage. We can admire generations of brave Jews standing up to bullying, persecution, and even mass murder. But they remained a unique people because ~GOD~ promised that they would. Through Moses and the other prophets, He had warned them that certain behaviors would cause them to be dispersed across the earth. But even in His warnings, He promised to bring them back to the land He gave them…
He brought them back in order to uphold His word and the honor of His name:

Notice the word [then]. He promised to first bring them back to the land, [THEN] cleanse them of all filthiness. He’s been bringing them back for the last hundred years and that process continues. During the tribulation–period, an awakening will take place among the people of Israel. They will turn to ~JESUS~ Christ of Nazareth suddenly and in overwhelming numbers…
Today, Israel may look like other nations. It faces all kinds of problems—everything from mundane problems to existential threats. Its leaders make mistakes. As a nation, it often embraces political correctness over the morality spelled out in ~GOD’s~ word. There are pockets of corruption. Like so many other democratic nations in the world right now, some are trying to use the courts to unseat political opponents that they cannot defeat at the polls…
Israel is doing better than any other nation in the world at getting its population vaccinated. But, as with other nations, Covid-19 has given Israel a very rough time. The nation has allies and enemies. In the second half of the Trump Administration, many old enemies reversed course and became friends. Against all odds, they have a thriving economy and under their care, we have seen the desert blossom, just as ~GOD~ said it would…
But that’s not the biggest miracle. The biggest miracle is that Israel exists! And it exists in the ancient land ~GOD~ gave the Israelites through Abraham almost four thousand years ago. ~GOD~ said He would do it and—against all human wisdom—He did. Israel exists today as a living testimony that ~GOD~ will do everything He prophesied. Israel proves the Bible! That’s why so many nations and people rage against Israel to this day…
So, when you read or hear about the Jewish state’s conflicts, high-level trials, elections, economy, and fight against the pandemic—remember that Israel’s existence is not normal. IT’S—A—MIRACLE!!!

It has been said, “without ~GOD~, man is not man; he’s an animal!” and at present, this statement is dramatically clear! Public behavior at every level of society is growing less and less civil. Morals, ethics, values, principles and spiritual maturity are becoming rarities, as animalistic passions arise…
Without ~GOD~, man is driven only by his senses, his appetites and a drive to achieve dominance in his world. He is devoid of conscience. His intellect succumbs to primitive urges; his logic is overwhelmed by his passions. He may build a kingdom, but it will fall, because it is built on territorial lust rather than inner strength. And though it appears powerful, any society built upon avarice, rather than what the American-Constitution calls, “…the blessings of liberty,” has thrown away the presence and power of ~GOD~…
And this is now being done in America. The past few decades have witnessed the fall of our society from Constitutional-Structure to animalistic appetites. Biblical history recounts a dark history of many similar social collapses. And they all fell because of the same general weakness…
As Peter writes in his Second Epistle, false teachers fail to understand ~GOD’s~ blessing, and as a result, march their respective societies straight to the garbage heap:
“The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Lately, populations around the world [and ours especially!] have had a growing opportunity to see the abject truth of this statement. It has exploded into view in a way that we could scarcely imagine a few short years ago…
Though it has never been perfect, America has had great moments of revival, and heroism in the fight against the forces of evil. But once again we witness a period of lawlessness, factional street demonstrations and satanic sociological theories punctuated by fires, murders and riots set upon a background of moral degeneration and bizarre socio-sexual and racially confabulated demands…
Bible–Believing–Christians look upon all this with wonder. How, they ask, could we have fallen so far, so quickly???
In truth, the answer to this question is that historically, Western-Civilization has experienced a cyclical series of spiritual, social and economic eras. Anyone who has read [Foxe’s Book of Martyrs—the dark side of Church history] has been shocked to witness the depths of animal brutality to which ~GODless~ societies will fall. Over the past two-millennia, Christians living as contemporaries of monsters from Nero to Mao Tse Tung, have witnessed more than their share of insult, riot and death. From the days of the Apostles to the present, the animalistic natural man has many times risen against ~GOD’s~ people…

For personal Christianity, the Resurrection is All–Important. There is a vital interrelation to the existence of Christianity itself, as well as to the individual believer, in the message of The Gospel. The Swiss theologian, Karl Barth, said, “Do you want to believe in the living Christ? We may believe in Him only if we believe in His corporeal Resurrection. This is the content of the New Testament. We are always free to reject it, but not to modify it, nor to pretend that the New Testament tells something else. We may accept or refuse the message, but we may not change it.” Christianity as a system of Truth collapses if the Resurrection is rejected. That ~JESUS~ rose from the dead is one of the foundation stones of our faith…

This Creation Moment is about education, and I guess I ought to start with a number of caveats. I am going to make generalizations about boys and girls. If someone comments, “My son is not like that”, then they are probably right because generalizations do not refer to individual specifics…
So here are my two controversial statements: Boys learn differently from girls and most school environments generally correspond to the ways that girls learn best. When my children were young, a friend told me that having boys is like having puppies—“You have to take them to the park, and let them run around for a bit”. I am sure he was right. But what do schools do [even schools with a Christian curriculum]? We expect boys to sit down quietly for hours at a time. We assess their abilities by making them sit down and write…
When I was a child, it was not like this. The school day was broken up, and we had significant playtimes, morning and afternoon, and over lunch. We played soccer, we ran and shouted, and we tracked each other around the school grounds, pretending to shoot each other [that last one is particularly politically incorrect]. These activities enabled us to sit down quietly in between, and concentrate on studies…
The Bible says: “Train up a child in the way he should go”. Biblical education is a son imitating the behavior of his father, and following his ~GODly~ instruction…

The Gospel of Matthew tells the story of wise men from the east following the Christmas star to Jerusalem, and then to Bethlehem. The Gospel of Luke tells about the night of Christ’s birth—of angel choirs and lowly shepherds rejoicing together at the plan of ~GOD~ unfolding before their eyes in the Person of ~JESUS~…
But those two Gospels give us another, even more astounding aspect of Christmas…
When most people get around to reading the New Testament, they’re surprised that such a thrilling story seems to begin with a yawn. Matthew, the first book of the New Testament, begins with a genealogy. Is the fact that [Azor begat Sadoc] an important part of Christ’s story? It is crucial!!!
“The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham…”
{Matthew 1:1 KJV}
Starting with Abraham, Matthew gives the genealogy of Joseph—the adoptive father of ~JESUS~. That genealogy shows that ~JESUS~ is a descendant of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It shows that ~JESUS~ can rightfully be called by The Messianic Title, “Son Of David”. Through the generations, ~GOD~ had been preparing for the birth of ~JESUS~…
Luke gives us Mary’s genealogy. Mary was The Lord’s physical mother. She, too, was a descendant of David and of the Patriarchs. Between the two genealogies, we learn that ~JESUS~ was physically and legally qualified to be Israel’s ~MESSIAH~…
“And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? Today, most of Christendom believes that ~GOD’s~ promises to the physical descendants of Israel have become null and void. They believe ~GOD~ ditched Abraham’s physical descendants in favor of the Church. They see the Church as [spiritual] Israel…
In his ministry’s magazine, the late, R. C. Sproul articulated the idea that the Church replaced Israel in the program of ~GOD~. “We’re not dispensationalists here”, he wrote. “We believe that the church is essentially Israel. We believe that the answer to, What about the Jews? is, Here we are”…
But if being a physical descendant of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob can be canceled out and the Jews can be replaced by [spiritual] descendants, why was it important for the New Testament to show the precise lineage of ~JESUS~? Why not just have a [spiritual] descendant of Abraham and David be The ~MESSIAH~???
The answer is that ~GOD’s~ Word is Paramount. Through the Prophets, ~GOD~ clearly said certain literal things about The ~MESSIAH~. If ~JESUS~ had not been a literal, physical descendant of David, He could not be The ~MESSIAH~. No one would have even considered it a possibility!!!
~GOD~ made sure that His Word contains these two crucial genealogies. They prove that He takes His Word seriously. He is not capricious. His Word can be trusted. And when He says, “Israel”, He literally means [Israel]. The New Testament uses the word [Israel] 75-times. And in each instance, it means the literal, physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob…
Christmas shows yet again that ~GOD~ means every word He speaks. And that means you can trust Him completely…

What did ~JESUS~ mean when He said that ~GOD~ had abandoned Him???
This has always puzzled me, because if ~JESUS~ was actually [The Son of ~GOD~], then how could ~GOD~ abandon Him???
You are referring to some of ~JESUS’~ last recorded words, spoken while He was dying on The Cross:
“And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me???”
{Mark 15:34 KJV}
What did He mean by this???
Was He suddenly filled with doubt, wondering if He had misunderstood the mission ~GOD~ had given Him???
Was He filled with despair, concluding He was a failure and all His work was in vain???
After all [some have said], the crowds had turned against Him, and seemingly His ministry had come to an abrupt end…
But, in reality His words point to something far different. They point to the fact that when ~JESUS~ died on The Cross, all our sins—without exception—were transferred to Him. He was without sin, for He was ~GOD~ in human flesh. But, as He died all our sins were placed on Him, and He became the final and complete sacrifice for our sins. And in that moment He was banished from the presence of ~GOD~, for sin cannot exist in ~GOD’s~ presence. His cry speaks of this truth; He endured the separation from ~GOD~ that you and I deserve…
This is a profound truth—and yet it also should bring us great comfort. Because Christ died for us, we need not fear Death, or Hell, or Judgment!!!
The Bible says:
“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit…”
{1 Peter 3:18 KJV}
~GOD~ didn’t abandon ~JESUS~, and He won’t abandon you. Make Him part of your life today…

Today, Christians around the world are celebrating ~JESUS’~ triumphal entry into Jerusalem [which we usually call “Palm Sunday,” because the crowd welcomed Him by spreading palm branches in His path]. Those who greeted ~JESUS~ were convinced He was the Messiah, or “anointed one,” sent by ~GOD~ to establish His Kingdom on earth…
So, why did the crowds turn against ~JESUS~ so quickly? One week they welcomed Him, and the next week they demanded He be crucified!!!
No events in human history were more important than ~JESUS’~ death and resurrection, and yet many people [even Christians] never take time to study them…
It must have been a dramatic sight as ~JESUS~ approached Jerusalem on a donkey [which was a sign of His humility]…
The Bible says:
“And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!!!”
{Luke 19:37-38 KJV}
Even those who weren’t part of that welcoming crowd listened eagerly to His teaching during the next few days…
But not everyone in Jerusalem welcomed Him:
“And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out!!!”
{Luke 19:39-40 KJV}
But soon many turned against ~JESUS~ and demanded His death:
“Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified!!!”
{Matthew 27:22 KJV}
These weren’t necessarily the same people who had welcomed Him—but the reversal is still striking. Were they disappointed because He refused to establish an earthly political kingdom? Probably. But ~JESUS~ didn’t come to set up a new political system. He came instead to change our hearts and save us from our sins by His death and resurrection…
He declared during that last week:
“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence…”

This deeply disappointed those who hoped He would throw out the hated Roman occupiers. They may also have disliked His demand that they repent…
Where would you have been on that first Palm Sunday? Among the disciples who welcomed Him—or among the skeptical crowds? It’s easy to condemn those who condemned ~JESUS~ but would we have acted any differently? We too are sinners, and we too have rebelled against ~GOD~…
But the central message of Easter is that ~GOD~ still loves us, and because of Christ we can be forgiven…
He came for one reason:
“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit…”
{1 Peter 3:18 KJV}

Marriage is an Institution of ~GOD~ between One Man and One Woman. The Lord gave [ONLY] this Family unit the Responsibility to have Children and to bring them up in the Nurture and Admonition of The Lord…
