We All believe the Bible is the Inspired Word of ~GOD~. We All hold it in a Place of High Esteem and Declare it to be the Guide to our Lives…
My question is:
“Are these mere words or are they in Fact the things that Guide Our Lives???”
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ…”
{2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV}
We find these words in the Bible and for many of us, the Word of ~GOD~ becomes a Guide, but Not the Rule. As difficulties of life arise, so often we listen to what everyone else says as opposed to what ~GOD’s~ Word says. Often in difficult situations, we take convenience over what ~GOD’s~ Word says…
It is interesting to note this Scripture deals with Casting down imaginations. It matters little who thought it or who said it, even if it comes from a person we hold in high esteem. If it does NOT line up with ~GOD’s~ Word, we are to THROW IT AWAY. Many times the wisdom of man comes against the Knowledge of ~GOD~. In these cases, the wisdom of man is Foolishness. We should ALWAYS take the Knowledge of ~GOD~. There are times when we must Literally take Captive our thoughts and the thoughts of man. They MUST be Imprisoned Forever…
There is a popular saying that says, “~GOD~ said it, I believe it, and that settles it.” It does NOT matter whether or Not we believe it, if ~GOD~ said it, IT IS SO. In order for us to bring things in Line with ~GOD’s~ Word, we Must first Purpose to do that and we MUST use His Words as the Rule of Life; after All, He is the Author and the Finisher of our Faith. It is amazing to me that we so often take the knowledge of a friend or some wise man over the Knowledge of ~GOD~. I don’t know about you, but for the answers of Life, I choose to take ~GOD’s~ Word over someone else’s whose brain is Not any bigger than mine…
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts…”
We can Never Truly Understand ~GOD’s~ Will for our Lives unless we come to a place where His Word Rules our Lives, and what a Blessed Place This Is…
My Prayer for you, is that you Grow in the Knowledge and the Truth of our Lord and Savior, ~JESUS~ Christ…
