“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life…”
As this year draws to a close and we are preparing to celebrate the birth of ~JESUS~ Christ with all that it means to us as Christians, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for you and may ~GOD~ richly bless you and your family…
What does Christmas mean to you? I don’t know if my home is typical of yours, but let me share with you some things from my home. It is easy for my wife and me to get caught up in all the commercialism of Christmas. A few years ago, we were shopping for gifts and she was running from store to store with the pressure of only having the weekend to finish her Christmas shopping. In each store, I paid attention to people’s expressions; most people I saw were under the stress of meeting the same Christmas deadline as this was the last Saturday before Christmas day. Is this the meaning of Christmas???
Sometimes I find myself being so caught up in activities that I fail to stop and realize that ~JESUS~ is the reason for the season. My focus should be on Him and allowing His love to show through me during this time. If this resembles your Christmas preparations, I encourage you to do what I have done—stop and spend some quiet time with ~JESUS~. Ask Him what He would have you to do and who you can touch with His love during this season. For me the most important thing that I can do is to bring my flesh under His control, take a deep breath and move at a slower pace, looking for opportunities to smile and share the love of ~JESUS~ Christ…
We know that {John 3:16 KJV} is a key verse of the Bible. It sums up the love of ~GOD~ shown to us through ~JESUS~ Christ. Only by the redemptive blood of ~JESUS~ can we experience The Blessed Hope. May ~GOD~ focus us so that we may experience (as well as those around us) the real meaning of Christmas. May the peace of ~GOD~ be with you and your family during this season…
