Today, Christians around the world are celebrating ~JESUS’~ triumphal entry into Jerusalem [which we usually call “Palm Sunday,” because the crowd welcomed Him by spreading palm branches in His path]. Those who greeted ~JESUS~ were convinced He was the Messiah, or “anointed one,” sent by ~GOD~ to establish His Kingdom on earth…
So, why did the crowds turn against ~JESUS~ so quickly? One week they welcomed Him, and the next week they demanded He be crucified!!!
No events in human history were more important than ~JESUS’~ death and resurrection, and yet many people [even Christians] never take time to study them…
It must have been a dramatic sight as ~JESUS~ approached Jerusalem on a donkey [which was a sign of His humility]…
The Bible says:
“And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!!!”
{Luke 19:37-38 KJV}
Even those who weren’t part of that welcoming crowd listened eagerly to His teaching during the next few days…
But not everyone in Jerusalem welcomed Him:
“And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out!!!”
{Luke 19:39-40 KJV}
But soon many turned against ~JESUS~ and demanded His death:
“Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified!!!”
{Matthew 27:22 KJV}
These weren’t necessarily the same people who had welcomed Him—but the reversal is still striking. Were they disappointed because He refused to establish an earthly political kingdom? Probably. But ~JESUS~ didn’t come to set up a new political system. He came instead to change our hearts and save us from our sins by His death and resurrection…
He declared during that last week:
“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence…”
{John 18:36 KJV}
This deeply disappointed those who hoped He would throw out the hated Roman occupiers. They may also have disliked His demand that they repent…
Where would you have been on that first Palm Sunday? Among the disciples who welcomed Him—or among the skeptical crowds? It’s easy to condemn those who condemned ~JESUS~ but would we have acted any differently? We too are sinners, and we too have rebelled against ~GOD~…
But the central message of Easter is that ~GOD~ still loves us, and because of Christ we can be forgiven…
He came for one reason:
“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit…”
{1 Peter 3:18 KJV}

Father ~JESUS~
Our Father and our ~GOD~ as we stand at the beginning of this new year we confess our need of Your presence and Your guidance as we face the future…
We each have our own hopes and expectations for the new year that is ahead of us—but You alone know what it holds for us, and only You can give us the strength and the wisdom we will need to meet its challenges. So help us to humbly put our hands into You’re hand, and to trust You and to seek You’re will for our lives during this coming year…
In the midst of life’s uncertainties in the days ahead, assure us of the certainty of You’re unchanging love…
In the midst of life’s inevitable disappointments and heartaches, help us to turn to You for the stability and comfort we will need…
In the midst of life’s temptations and the pull of our stubborn self–will, help us not to lose our way but to have the courage to do what is right in You’re sight, regardless of the cost…
And in the midst of our daily preoccupations and pursuits, open our eyes to the sorrows and injustices of our hurting world, and help us to respond with compassion and sacrifice to those who are friendless and in need. May our constant prayer be that of the ancient Psalmist:
“Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end…”
{Psalms 119:33 KJV}
We pray for our nation and its leaders during these difficult times, and for all those who are seeking to bring peace and justice to our dangerous and troubled world. We pray especially for You’re protection on all those who serve in our armed forces, and we thank You for their commitment to defend our freedoms, even at the cost of their own lives. Be with their families also, and assure them of You’re love and concern for them…
Bring our divided nation together, and give us a greater vision of what You would have us to be. In You’re Holy–Word we are reminded that:
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance…”
{Psalms 33:12 KJV}
As we look back throughout history we thank You for You’re goodness to us—far beyond what we have deserved. May we never presume on You’re past goodness or forget all You’re mercies to us, but may they instead lead us to repentance, and to a new commitment to make You the foundation and center of our lives this new year…
And so, our Father, we thank You for the promise and hope of this new year, and we look forward to it with Great expectation and faith. All this I humbly ask in the name of our Lord and Savior, who by His death and Resurrection has given us hope both for this world and the world to come…

In Congress, July 4, 1776. The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation…
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good…
He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them…
He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only…
He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures…
He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people…
He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within…
He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands…
He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers…
He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries…
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance…
He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures…
He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power…
He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:
For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:
For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:
For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:
For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences…
For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:
For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever…
He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us…
He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people…
He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation…
He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands…
He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions…
In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people…
Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our Brittish brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends…
We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor…

👹halloween is a satanic high holiday for worshiping the devil👹
Despite spooky costumes, annoying pranks and other chilling traditions, history suggests the name [halloween] may have actually come from a Christian celebration…
For centuries, many Christians have celebrated all hallows eve, which takes place the evening before All Saints Day on November 1. It began as a time to remember those who were Martyred for their Faith in Christ and who helped to gain Religious Freedoms. It was also on October 31, 1517, that a Priest named Martin Luther publicly denounced many doctrines of heresy in the Church at that time—like paying money to escape ~GOD’s~ punishment for sin. His arguments helped to spark the Reformation movement within the Church…
But, [halloween] also has ties to pagan rituals—like attempts to communicate with and appease the dead. Some people also dressed in scary costumes and carved grotesque faces into large vegetables to ward off wandering evil spirits…
With the [devils–day] being celebrated in many different ways, it is wise for The Body Of Christ to take a Stance based upon BIBLICAL PRINCIPALS…
This time of year doesn’t have to be all about the death and darkness celebrated on [halloween] and [the day of the dead]!!!
It’s been more than 2,000 years since ~JESUS~ Christ of Nazareth came into this world to keep us from that death and darkness—to bring Hope and Light and to Save us ALL from the terrifying consequences of sin and death…
There is real evil and spiritual darkness in the world, but, with Christ in your life there’s NO need to fear it…
Call upon ~JESUS~ right here—right now. Invite Him into your heart. Ask Him to forgive your sins. Then turn away from your sins and your old life. Let Him lead and guide each and every step of your new life and He will give you the Courage to Not only face, But to overcome the fear and darkness plaguing your life…
