~JESUS~ criticizes the [hypocrites] who pray publicly in synagogues and/or on the streets loudly to gain admiration from others. Their motive is to be seen, heard, and praised by people instead of seeking a genuine connection with ~GOD~. He says, “They have their reward,” meaning their only reward is the fleeting approval of others. Instead, ~JESUS~ instructs believers in Him to pray privately, in a “closet” [a private room or quiet place], focusing upon a sincere, personal relationship with ~GOD~. Private prayer demonstrates humility and authenticity, and ~GOD~, who sees this secret devotion, will “reward thee openly” with spiritual blessings and/or answers to your prayers…
👑 Avoid Vain Repetitions:

Such prayers lack heart and True meaning. Instead, ~JESUS~ emphasizes that ~GOD~ already knows what we need before we ask. Prayer should be simple, sincere, and trusting, [NOT] a religious–ritual of empty words…
